The Jigawa State Hisba Command said it has resolved 9637 cases in the last one between husband and wives as well as between neighbors and also between farmers and Fulani herdsmen.
The State Commandant Malam Dashiru I Rahim Garki said, the police resolved 685 cases handed over to them by Hisba Command while 120 cases were resolved in court.
He explained that four raped cases were reported to their command and that as of last year seven sodomy cases were also taken to the court by the command.
Garki explained further that 149 adultery cases had been reported to the command last year.
He added that 684 persons were deported to their respective states of origin, the persons include Almajiris and people with mental disorders, and women who were compulsorily married.
The command said they have preached on 712 different occasions at mosques, Hamlets, and markets and the command went out 1200 times on official patrol in which over 5060 persons were arrested and taken to court for action.
