Following 247ureports.com reportage on the killing of Chimaobi Okoye by men of the  Anambra State Anti-Robbery Squad [SARS] stationed in Ula, Ekwulobia in Aguata Local Government Area [LGA] in Anambra State, the investigating team appeared to have reached a resolution on the said murder. According to the investigation, the  murder of the son of Hon. Chris Uche Okoye were carried out the by two persons by the names Aloy and Ben – Aloy is Calabar while Ben hails from Benue. Both men are stationed in Anambra under their squad commander, Mr. James Okafor.

Following the revelation of the identities of the murders, the police authorities acted to sack the two SARS officers – while arresting the squad commander, James Okafor – for having directed the murder of Chimaobi Okoye and another relative, Chinwenwa Ogbazi by the two SARS officers. James Okafor remains in detention in Enugu.
Meanwhile, the Senator [Ngige] representing the central district of Anambra State where Hon. Okoye hails from – has promised the family that he has filed documents with the appropriate authorities to enable for a post-modem to be performed on the corpse of Chimaobi Okoye. The family told 247ureports.com that the corpse of Chimaobi Okoye remains at the morgue at the teaching hospital in Nnewi – and that as soon as the clearance is gotten – that a post modem will be performed – and then the corpse will be buried.
The father to the late Chimaobi indicates that he wants finality on the wrongful death on the part of the police department. He wants the police to accept wrong doing in the death of his son.
But the police department through an unofficial but top ranking source told 247ureports.com that the police department is reluctant to accept wrongdoing because of fear of lawsuit from the Okoye family.
