Eid-El Kabir: We’ll Ensure Peaceful, Hitch-Free Celebrations – Bauchi Police Commissioner, CP Alabi

In line with its continued efforts in tackling crime and criminality as well as providing adequate security to the citizens, the Bauchi State Command has said that it will collaborate with other security operatives and critical stakeholders towards ensuring hitch-free and peaceful Sallah celebrations in the state.

 

This was contained in a press release signed and made available to newsmen by the Police Public Relations Officer SP Ahmed Mohammed Wakili, Friday in Bauchi.

 

Alabi said that the Command has mobilized men and officers comprising conventional police and other tactical teams of the Command as well as all the necessary logistics to all praying grounds and venues of the events in the state.

 

Added that all the personnel deployed for this critical assignment are under strict instructions to the Commissioner of police to be civil but firm in the discharge of their duties.

 

The statement further said that the strategic officers will strengthen the visibility policing structures and carry out confidence-building patrols, particularly praying grounds around residential areas, major highways, government-private infrastructures to prevent and arrest any ugly situation.

 

Alabi however, reiterated the Command readiness in dealing with hoodlums, political thuggery, and other disgruntled elements that may attempt to cause any breakdown of law and order before, during, and after the festive period

 

The Command, therefore, solicits support from the citizens to report any suspicious person or object to the nearest Police station or to call the emergency number for quick response teams.
