Tight Security In Adamawa As Police Prepare For EID-EL-KABIR Celebrations

As Muslim faithful across the nation prepare to mark the Eid-el-Kabir festivities, Dankombo Morris, the Commissioner of Police, Adamawa State Command, has assured the residents of the state of robust and proactive security measures aimed at guaranteeing a peaceful and incident-free celebration.

In a statement issued, CP Morris reaffirmed the Command’s unwavering commitment to the protection of lives and property, maintaining law and order, and ensuring public safety before, during, and after the festive period.

To this end, the Commissioner has directed the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations to oversee the comprehensive deployment of security personnel across the state.

While Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, and Tactical Unit Commanders have also been mandated to personally lead operations within their jurisdictions.

“The Command will intensify high-visibility patrols and conduct strategic confidence-building operations in key areas, including Eid prayer grounds, recreational centres, residential areas, markets, and other public spaces”.

He said all these efforts are aimed at deterring criminal elements and ensuring a secure environment for all.

While felicitating with Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, Governor of Adamawa State, and the good people of the state on the occasion, CP Morris enjoined the public to celebrate peacefully and responsibly.

The Commissioner also cautioned officers deployed for the Sallah operations to exhibit the highest levels of professionalism, discipline, and respect for the rights of citizens in the discharge of their duties.

Urging members of the public  to remain law-abiding and vigilant, and to promptly report any suspicious activity or persons to the nearest police station.
