Eid-el-Kabir: Jos Imam task Muslims to be of good behaviour

sallah-690x450Chief Imam of Jos Sheikh Muhammad Lawal Adam, has enjoined Muslims to be of good behaviours, and exhibit the true norms of Islam as its ambassadors.

‪The Imam enjoined them in his sermons which was preceded with two rakkat prayer that marked the occasion of Eid-el-Adha, held yesterday at the Jos Central prayer ground.

He said the Islamic teachings enjoins all Muslims to be of good behaviour, obedience to Allah and constituted authorities.

‪”As you go about celebrating, you should all exhibit high sense of respect, discipline and also use the period to assist the needy,” he said.

‪According to him People who have the means to offer rams and other lawful animals for sacrifice should, “do that knowing fully that they following the Sunnah (Traditions), of Prophets Ibrahim and Muhammad, and should do it rightly.”

‪The Imam while supplicating for peace, development and prosperity also admonished Muslims to pray for the peace of the country.

‪He said: “You should pray for peaceful co-existence and also pray for good leadership by the President, Governors and Local Government Councils.”

‪It has been peace prayers at all the over twenty Eid prayer ground within and around Jos the Plateau State capital.

Delivering his goodwill message shortly after the Eid prayer, forma minority leader in Plateau state house of Assembly, Hon. Nazif Ahmad cautioned youths to be sober in their celebrations.

‪He said the period is that which Muslims should use to appreciates Allah’s blessings to mankind.

‪”As Muslims we also appreciate our Governor Simon Lalong, for his love to the People, he has provided rams and food items to support the needy,” he said.

‪Nazif who had prayed for the peace of the nation also prayed for; “President Buhari and Governor Lalong to succeed.”

In the same vain Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong has enjoined the Muslim Ummah on the Plateau and elsewhere to preach and practice the virtues of love to humanity as profess by Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

‪The Governor gave this admonition in his eid-el-Kabir message to the Muslim on the celebration of eid-el-Kabir festivity,  noting that the feast of eid-el-Kabir symbolizing the sacrifice offered by Prophet Ibrahim in total obedience to Allah’s command, for him to sacrifice his son for which Allah blessed him immensely.

‪In press release signed by his Director, Press and Public Affairs Samuel Emmanuel Nanle, Lalong said: “True religious practice must correspond in showing love and sacrifice to add a difference into the lives of fellow human being,” urging the Muslim faithful to extend hands of friendship to all.

‪He further called on religious leaders to preach the message of peace and love to their adherent and promote mutual coexistence in the society.

‪Lalong also reiterated the determination of the APC Government in the state through her 5 Policy Thrust provide purposeful leadership to the people of the state and thereby ameliorate the sufferings of the citizenry.

‪He said while wishing Muslims in the state a peaceful and rewarding Sallah celebration, Lalong assured that the security agencies have been charge to ensure that the celebration is peaceful.
