Dogara Luka Appointed As Garkuwan Sara After Brother’s Demise

The District Head of Sara in Tafawa-Balewa local government area of Bauchi State, Retired SP Mugana Dallatu Sara has appointed Mr. Dogara Luka as Garkuwan Sara the II.

The appointment and subsequent coronation of Luka as Garkuwan Sara, our Correspondent gathered was coming after the demise of his elder brother Mr. Samuel Luka.

The coronation which took place at the palace of the monarch in Sara community also witnessed the presentation of staff of office to Comrade Dogara Luka by the District Head on Monday.

Presenting Dogara with the staff of office, the District Head said that the appointee was found worthy of being appointed to hold the traditional title.

According to him, Comrade Luka is competent enough to be part of the council due to his contribution to the palace and the entire Sara community.

“I didn’t appoint them to that position because he is more competent than others, but I did that due to his doggedness in service to the community”, the District Head said.

The monarch urged the new Garkuwan Sara to deploy his wealth of experience in running his office in order to bring peace to the land.

He called on Mr. Luka to join hands with him in fighting those who don’t want to see the land progressing and to leave peacefully.

Speaking during the turbaning ceremony of the Garkuwan Sara the II Honorable Isaiah Alhamdu Mags who is the guest speaker of the coronation ceremony, described the coronation ceremony as the historic one in the whole Sara community.

Honorable Mags urges the new Garkuwa of Sara to make good use of the position to respect the traditional rulers and the elders of the community.

In his part, the ii Garkuwa of Sara Comrade Dogara Luka expressed happiness to the District Head of Sara community for seeing him as worthy to give him the traditional Tittle and presented the staff of office to him.

The new Garkuwa of Sara Dogara promised to use his power as part of the council to help his respective area of assignment and bring the good people of Sara together for the betterment of the community.

He described retired SP Mugana Dallatu Sara as the best in the history of the traditional rulers of the Sara in Tafawa-Balewa local government area of Bauchi State.
