IGPThe Executive of the Defence and Police Officers Wives Association (DEPOWA) on November 20, 2015 paid a familiarization visit to the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Solomon E. Arase fdc, NPM at his Louis Edet House office, Abuja.

Speaking on behalf of the team, the President of the Association, Mrs Omobolanle Olanisakin said the visit was to intimate the IGP of their programme of action and to foster unity amongst wives of officers of the Defence and the Nigeria Police Force.

She used the occasion to enumerate the achievements of the Association, some of which are the establishment of schools, library, ultra modern skill acquisition centre to assist in alleviating the suffering of the less privileged, while emphasizing the exploits of the Inspector-General in the area of internal security, which according to her has given peace and tranquility to Nigerians.

Responding, IGP Solomon Arase thanked DEPOWA for the visit while commending them for their laudable projects, saying, it is a touch to lives.

IGP Arase further said the Police Management Team has an accommodating programme to assist widows and orphans of officers who paid the supreme price in the line of duty by providing them scholarship.
