  • Party Chieftains Accuses Him of appointing His Son As PA, Sister As SA, As Well As In-Law And Cronies

The recent appointment of political office holders in Doma Local Government Area of Nasarawa State by the Executive Chairman, Hon. Rabo Sani has become a serious issue as he has been accused of lopsided appointments where he made appointments to his blood relations and friends.

Impeccable source unveiled that amongst those given appointments include his son who was appointed as his Personal Assistant (P.A),  his sister whom he appointed as Special Adviser and his in-law who this medium gathered was also given an appointment.

Sources told this medium those members of ruling Party in Doma has vowed to cause confusion following the flouting of the agreement reached to give appointments to deserving Chairmanship aspirants that were forced to step down during the last Local Government Congress that produced the Chairman.

A Party Chieftain who pleaded anonymity said that the agreement was that a portfolio will be given to one electoral ward which was the Chairman’s electoral Ward.

“This development indicated that only Angwan Kasa worked for the success of Hon. Rabo Sani whose primary election did not hold at all.”

According to him,” the election or selection of Rabo Sani is the worst process as far as politics is concerned in the history of Nasarawa politics.”

A competent source said the slot of Secretary was for Ibrahim Orume, a grass root politician and a retired primary school teacher who was amongst the eleven Chairmanship aspirants

The position of Sani has led to a serious crack in Doma wing of the All Progressives Congress as the executives of the Party were left out of the selection of appointees.

The supremacy of who takes what in Doma political space has consumed the incumbent Chairman as the power that is in the locality as the bigwigs of the party like Yusuf Musa, the General Manager of Nasarawa Broadcasting Service, the Commissioner of Commerce, Cooperative and Industry, Hon. Abdullahi Tanko Zubairu, the former Head of Service, Thomas Ogiri, former Commissioner, Rural and Community Development, Hon. Mustapha Yahaya Idris are all hell-bent for the reverse of the appointments which did not favor any of them as a think-tank of the ruling party.

Others such as the former State Secretary of the Party, Mustapha Galadima, current Chairman of the Nasarawa State Independent Electoral Commission, Hon.Henry John Omaku, Hon. John Danlami Ogah, former Interim Management Committee Chairman were also left out of the selection.

It was gathered that Yusuf Musa and few aggrieved APC heavyweights in Doma Local Government tackled the Chairman in the appointment of the leadership of the Legislative Council as the other faction of the Party is in control of key positions creating a cloudy atmosphere for Hon. Rabo Sani.

A Party Chieftain who spoke with universalreportersng.com expressed displeasure over the sideline of key actors in Doma APC, saying the Chairman disregard the core agreement reached in sharing positions, he described the unfolding as a miscarriage to the system.

“People like Ibrahim Orume work seriously for the Party were not given any portfolio instead the chairman went ahead and appointed Badamasi as the Secretary of Doma Local Government as against the wish of stakeholders who agreed on Ibrahim Orume while a fragment of Party bigwigs fielded Hon. Danlami Umar, a two-time Chairmanship contender under the platform of the Peoples’ Democratic Party before his defection to the All Progressives Congress.

The elected Chairman of the council, Hon. Sani, when contacted at his house at Doma, declined comment over the one-sided appointments made by him as alleged.

“If it is on the issue of appointment, I will not comment on that, “said the Chairman.
