COVID -19: Hon Daniel Advises Plateau Govt To Involve Health Experts On Preventive Measure

A Member Representing Langtang North Central in the State House of Assembly who is also the Chairman House Committee on Health, Hon Daniel Nanbolistic has advised Federal and Plateau state Government to put is adequate measure on grounds to tackle and prevent the spread of the deadly corona virus which treatment is still unknown to the health expert across the globe.

Nanbolisric during an interview with our medium at the Plateau state council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, says people should take the issue of COVID :19 very series because the disease is yet to discover cure .

The Member raised alarm that the COVID-19 the Nigeria government has refuses to involve experts like  ,pharmacist ,Medical doctors and Laboratories science in curbing the spread which can be very dangerous if the numbers of infected persons increasing ,we might not  have health experts in  our hospitals .

He said since most of the confirmed cases are imported, and a few being contacts of the imported cases, Nigeria is beginning to have cases with unclear infection sources, “this suggests the possible existence of community transmission and needs to be curtailed early ,he noted.

According to Nanbolistic ,“It is unclear how widespread the disease might be in the country given the evolving number of cases at this point, and the difficulty in tracking their movements and those of their contacts,” .

He commended Governor Simon Bako Lalong for taken the decisive measure to ensure that the citizens are secure from the spread with the introduction of hand wash sanitizers across the entering points .

According to him, the meaning of COVID : 19 is clearly ,”Corona virus Disease of 2019 ” ,with the outbreak recorded in China were over 240,000 people are already infected world wide and Nigeria has 51 confirm cases of the disease with only one dead which is still a mile case .

He said this disease COVID :19 is real the difference between COVID 19 with lassa fever ,Ebola or other infection diseases is that one person can spread its to 30 persons within a particular period of time and the disease can also last for 8 hours before been destroy.

Nanbolistic reeled out some of the preventive measures to be use by individual to curtailed the spread ,that people should stop using their hands to cleaning their face ,constant hand washing ,avoid hand shakes ,also give a distance contact which may kills the spread.

He warned the general public to understand that since the outbreak of the corona virus ,there is no specific treatment for the disease .The diagnosed result test of Agorism PCR would indicate that once your tested positive then the sign of the disease is severe pain ,coughing, fevers ,headache and treatment through anti-viral can only blocked it to allow your immune system to slowly revamp back your immune system.

Hon Daniel explained further that in the holy book of Leviticus the Bible spelt out that people were quarantined but I still call on our government to imbibe the modern ways of isolating victims .

He stressed that many people have key into the ideas of those spreading the gospel of drinking alcohol ,as a prevent measure but the Bible condemn the drinking alcohol as written .

Nanbolistic lamented that the House agitating that budget allocation for the health sector is so meager and should improve especially the temporal measure of which I have taken time to read Mr Governed speech ,I like some the statement and my views deviated from some of it .

“I begin to collaborate a number of medical knowledge by now effective disease center in Pankshin,and that of the southern senatorial district ,we need diagnostic centre and I was privilege to work with Vom vet were I have both the theoretical and practical knowledge so by now funds should have been release but up to this time nothing has been done about.

Hon Daniel reinstated his minds that the present disease is zonetic which can be transfer through animal to human ,there are experts in the field but no free hands given them to do the work .

He employed plateau state government ,especially the water board to ensure prompt supply of water and good sanitation hygiene practice that is one of the preventive measure to reduce the spread .

Nanbolistic called on government of lalong to put in more efforts in allowing members to discharge their oversight function of reaching their constituents and enlighten them on the spread of the covid-19 which has ravages China ,Italy ,Iran and other countries of the world.

He tasked the government not to interfere with the duty of health workers by now they should be running four shift not two shift because they are over stressed .

We don’t have qualitative data in Nigeria to enable us check spread of the disease in plateau today ,we don’t have scanner to help dictate or ventilation for professional .

He disclosed that research show that traditional fathers ,youths ,religious leaders should brought on board to help sensitizing ,enlightening the general public on the spread of disease.
