COVID-19: 64 Persons Quarantined In Jos North LGA Tests Negative( See Photos)

Sixty four suspected persons who were quarantined for having suspected coronavirus symptoms has been confirmed negative.

 

Mr. Philip Eplong, Senior Information Officer to the chairman of Jos North made who made this known   to our medium said they have therefore been discharged and reunited with their loved ones, having spent some weeks at the Local Government isolation centre.

The Management Committee Chairman of Jos North Local Government Hon.Shehu Usman broke the news on Sunday at the Zango baki   isolation centre, Bauchi road Jos.

 

He noted that the suspected persons had tested negative of COVID 19 twice   which was confirmed by the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

Hon. Usman disclosed that out of the nine returnees to Jos North,  eight  tested negative while the remaining one awaits  his second test result.

 

This brings the total number of discharged suspected persons to Sixty four.

 

The Chairman stated that the council is committed to complementing the effort of the state Government under the leadership of Governor Simon Lalong.

 

Hon.Usman used the occasion to laud all measures put in place by Governor  Lalong to contain the spread of COVID 19 pandemic in the state and assured the leader of the Rescue team of the council’s readiness to support it at all times.

 

While receiving the Almajiri’s on behalf of their family, community  leader  of Hahi zarare  Alhaji Lawan Yahaya alongside an Islamic scholar Alhaji Rabiu Mohammed  confirmed that the returnees are in good condition and pledged their resolve to ensure each child reunites with his family.

 

Responding separately on behalf of the discharged persons Mrs  Atika Jamilu, Deborah Yilnap and Rasi Dayyabu, said they are happy to be discharged and thanked  Governor Lalong and the Management Committee Chairman of Jos North  Hon.Shehu Usman for adequately taking care of them and for also giving them stipends to enable them reunite with their family.

 

The occasion was climaxed with the presentation of clothes and footwear to each of the children.
