Council boss averts erosion on road linking Ponzhi Bwarat palace

Flooding in Langtang North Local Government Council, erosion has been averted with prompt intervention of the council Chairman, Hon Daniel Dul .

The palace of Ponzhi Bwarat, His Royal Highness ,Mr Stanley Selchak Sambo was salvaged from  erosion with the  quick intervention of the  Management committee.

This was disclosed to journalists in Jos by Hon Daniel Dul the council chairman.

He advised the people to construct bumps in other to direct the heavy flow of water capable of destroy properties.

He mobilized communities   to help government avert flooding in their domain by calling on farmers along river banks to avoid farming on water ways.

He said, we also have floods in lengjik ,pishe Yashi ,Zamko and mostly erosion washed away farmland in some communities .

The council boss said the road linking the palace of paramount ruler of Bwarat people has been washed by erosion but the LGA organise funds to rehabilitate with lateral filed its temporary on use.

Hon Daniel Du appealed to government to come to their aide with the construction of more culverts to reduce erosion .

He added that the people of Langtang North Local Government now enjoy peaceful coexistence with their neighboring Local governments especially the Malamu Bridge now open for use between the people of Wase and Langtang.

The chairman expressed confidence with the return of peace among the traditional worshipers and Christian which always lead to destruction of lives and properties.

According to him, this year farming season farmers are going to experience bumper harvest owning to the peace that has return to the communities.
