The minister of communication technology Dr. Isa Ali Pantami yesterday commission Institute Communication Technology( ICT ) in Gombe with a view to create job for teaming youths in the state.
Performing the function, the minister said it is necessary for government to find lasting solution to ensure that youths who are left behind without jobs are engaged in ICT training inorder to be meaningful to the society.
He advised Youths not to relent in white collar jobs alone but should equally engaged themselves through training inorder to acquire ICT knowledge for the better.
The minister while appreciating the effort of President Buhari assured government commitment to create more jobs for youths.
He said National Information Technology Development Agency is committed to address challenges affecting Youths for lack of job by providing them a center to train and retrain skills in ICT.
According to him, 300 laptops have been provided for 30 Secondary schools in Gombe noting that 10 laptops will be given to 30 Secondary schools in the state.
He called on Gombe state government to do as much as possible to ensure that the ICT center is maintained.
Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya in his remark said he will do everything possible to ensure that the centre is protected for the benefit of youth.
He said youths are the engine room of government there is urgent need to support them to strive.
The governor thanked the gesture and wish the minister the best in his endeavour.
