The Plateau State Chairman of Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, Mr Sunday Wuyep Longbap has congratulated Amaju Pinnick, who emerged as the new NFF President during the election that was held in Katsina state recently.

 

Mr Amaju Pinnick, was reelected as the President of the Nigeria Football Federation under a transparent and conducive atmosphere without rancor.

 

Longbap frowned at the absence of the Minister of Sports and Youth Development, Barr. Solomon Dalung during the President Amaju Pinnick re- election, as he said this year election was the most peaceful with the presence of Katsina state Governor Aminu Masari.

 

He explained further that the NFF is registered with corporate Affairs under the supervision of the ministry of sports and the minister and that it was supposed to witness the election but he vehemently refused to show up only to be appearing to collect allowances.

 

Longbap thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for approving the time table to conduct election that was witness by NFA, FIFA and other football body who came to monitor the voting exercise.

 

According to him, the Amaju Pinnick led leadership had promised Nigerian a new package that would help transforms and revamps grassroots football development in Nigeria.

 

He added they are ready to consolidate on their position because a lot need to be done especially to settle with all the aggrieved members and those who contested and lost the election; plans are on top gear to promote local sports development.

 

Sunday Longbap eulogized the sports lovers for the overwhelming support given them during the congress, Governor Aminu Masari of Kasina state for his positive contribution to the successful hosting of the conference.
