The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has declared Peoples Democratic Party’s Governorship Candidate Matawalle Bello as winner of the Zamfara State Governorship election.
At a press conference held in Abuja on Saturday, INEC Chairman Mahmood Yakubu announced that the party won in all elective positions in the state.
According to INEC this follows the judgment of the Supreme Court that sacked all candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the general election.
It will be recalled that Matawalle scored 189,452 to emerge second in the governorship election.
