Bindow Sets To Probe Nyako As White Paper Report On Nyako’s Administration Is Referred To Justice Ministry For Action

Adamawa state government has forwarded to the state Ministry of Justice the late Justice Umar Bobboi white paper investigating the administration of former Governor Murtala Hammanyero Nyako for financial misappropriation and misconduct for advice before the state executive council takes decision.
Ahmed Sajoh Commissioner for Information and strategy made the disclosure shortly after state executive council meeting held at government house Yola Wednesday.
He said the late justice Umar Bobboi white paper that investigated the administration of Governor Nyako between 2007-2014 is referred to the state ministry of justice for advice before the council takes decision on the paper.
‘’The state executive council at the meeting also ordered the full investigations into the activities of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) from it inception to date in the state.
The 5 man panel of investigation is headed by Hon Alpha Belel as the chairman.
Other members are Ayuba Tumba, Hon. Jim Audu and Babs Shuaibu as members while Deputy Permanent Secretary political in the SSG’s office is to serve as secretary respectively.
It would be recalled that former governor Murtala Nyako was impeached by the state assembly in 20014.
After the impeachment the then speaker of the state assembly Hon Ahmadu Fintiri resumed the mantle of leaders as the acting governor of the state.
The court of appeal has described the process that lead to the impeachment and the impeachment itself as Null and void and ineffective.
