Universal Reporters Reporter Elected Secretary of Nasarawa Correspondents Chapel Election, As New Executives Emerge

The re-elected chairman of the Correspondents Chapel of the Nigerian Union of Journalist, Suleiman Abubakar (Nagarta) has sued for support of members of the chapel for the new crop of executive to succeed.
The chairman hinted this after taking the oath of office at the office of the Chapel today, as he promised to discharge his duty to the best of his knowledge, he also assured to carry all and sundry along.
The chairman of the electoral committee, Chuwang Dung in his speech commended the national officials of the Nigerian Union of Journalist.
Dungs sue for peace and called on members of the chapel to accord their maximum support to the current executive.
Other members that won the election are Adamu Yusuf of Radio Nigeria Kaduna who emerged as Vice chairman while Rabiu Omaku of Universal Reporters emerged as the Secretary of the chapel.
Other members elected are Muhammad Yangida of the Blueprint newspaper as the Financial Secretary while Sunday Moses of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) was elected unopposed as the treasurer.
Umar Muhammed of the Punch newspaper was elected unopposed as the Assistant Secretary and John Wada of Aminiya newspaper emerged unopposed as the Auditor respectively.
The national vice chairman zone D, chief Wilson Bako commended members for conducting themselves.
The election was monitored by both national and state officials of the Nigerian Union of Journalist which includes Dan Yakubu, chairman of the state council.
Other officials are the vice chairman,1Jamila Abubakar of the Nigeria Television Authority and the state scribe of the Union, Abubakar Akwe of the Nasarawa Broadcasting Service, Lafia.
