Biggest Mistake Committed By Jos North/North Was The Continued Reelection Of A Failure, Says Hon Danfari, PRP Candidate

There seems to be political turmoil among the people of  Jos North/North state constituency of the Plateau State House of Assembly as Hon. Umar Abubakar Danfari, the People’s Redemption Party (PRP)’s candidate for the constituency in the 2023 general elections alleges that the serving member Rt.Hon.Ibrahim Baba-Hassan doesn’t have projects in his constituency to stimulate them to support his candidacy.

He disclosed that Baba-Hassan couldn’t provide a qualitative representative with vast knowledge of the constituency for a positive,  effective, and meaningful representation.

Umar Abubakar stated this during the occasion of the unveiling of the Manifesto and the inauguration of the Campaign Council of the Party’s Senatorial candidate for Plateau North Senatorial District, Hon. Suleiman Yahaya Kwande, Dan Fari.

According to him, the biggest mistake committed by the constituents of Jos North/North was the continued reelection of a failure who had no single project in the constituency to his credit nor one Bill or even a Motion for the good and progress of the Constituency in particular and the state in general.

Danfari pointed out that “When you consider the work of a legislator in terms of representation and law-making, Hon. Baba Hassan is lagging behind and doesn’t deserve our people’s votes.

He has never sponsored any Bill that will bring positive change to the constituency. He has never spoken on the floor of the House on issues affecting his Constituency.

He maintained that Babs has equally no single project to his credit for the 12 years he has been in the House of Assembly.

You would agree with me that our sister constituency (Jos North/West) is far ahead of us in terms of infrastructure and other social amenities, courtesy lobbying capacities of those who have represented the constituency.

We have never gotten somebody who can represent us well in the House of Assembly in a way and manner that would attract development to the constituency”, he said.

Danfari noted that the continued reelection of Hassan was a result of influence by very few in the community for their parochial interest.

He, however, stated that their antecedents have been discovered and the whole constituents have realized it has been a costly mistake and decided to take a firm decision and insisted it is only that person whom they believe has the interest of the community at heart that would be given the mandate to represent the constituency in the state House of Assembly. “I must tell you that the constituents have found me and my party, the PRP worthy.

He explained that “I have promised I would adequately represent them in the true sense of it and not represent myself or selected individuals. I would remain in full touch with my people to ensure that whatever I present on the floor of the House is a true reflection of the position of my constituents in addition to influencing meaningful projects to the constituency”, Dan Fari said.
