Some groups of abandoned  All Progressives Congress ( APC ) delegates in Plateau State are before Honourable Justice Arum Ashom seeking the nullification of APC gubernatorial candidate,Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda candidacy in the party primaries that saw his emergence in May 2022.

The delegates described the congress of the 2023 gubernatorial primary in  Plateau State as full of irregularities, missing a list of purported delegates who have purchased the party forms to contest in the election before the primaries of   Dr Nentawe Yilwatda and nine (9) other aspirants at Langfield of Jos South Local Government Council.

According to the aggrieved delegates, the exercise spelled bad for them with the sudden disappearance of their names from the intending delegates for the election to replace them with old names that were already used for the state congress.

However, when the matter came up for mentioning the judge was said to be absent, but the APC governorship candidate brought a fresh application that was served seeking the leave of court to join as a defense.

The  APC Governorship candidate ahead 2023 General Elections,  came through motion on notice to be joined in suit instituted by the party’s purported delegates.

The purported delegates were in court challenging the party’s decision of sidelining the delegates, instead decided to impose delegates in some places to comfortably bring loyal members through a dubious selection of friends and associates.

Not satisfied with the unconstitutional decision of the party in the state, the aggrieved purported delegates seek the court’s interpretations.

In a motion on notice dated 25th, October 2022, the governorship Candidate of the party Dr. Nentawe is seeking to join the matter as the second defendant.

The case which was adjourned till today 26th October 2022, was stalled because the presiding judge Justice Arum Ashom was conspicuously absent from court sitting.

However, the hearing on the matter has been adjourned to the  2nd November,22, on the application and possibly the substantive matter.
