Arc Shehu Tukur, the national Vice Chairman, Nasarawa West has polled 179 votes to emerge winner of the Nasarawa West senatorial ticket of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Tukur polled 179 against his opponent, Bar Labaran Magaji who polled 114, a total of 293 delegates voted while one did not participate
in the primary election.
Major General Ahmed Jibrin (retired) declared Arc Shehu Tukur the winner of Nasarawa West senatorial district primary election.

Bar.Labaran Magaji in an interview shortly after the declaration buttressed that everybody is a winner in the contest.
He also commended the winner of the party primaries, giving the assurance that he will stand firm to ensure the victory of his opponent in the secondary election.
Magaji appreciates the party officials for the conduct of free, fair and credible primary election.
The winner of the contest applauded the maturity of his opponent, Bar Labaran Magaji for his doggedness and perseverance during and after the election.
He thanked all those worked towards his landslide victory, stating that he will work side by side with his opponent so as to clinch the senatorial district seat come 2023.
