Embattled Nasarawa West senatorial district aspirant, Bar Labaran Magaji has appealed to his teeming supporters from the zone to be calm and resolute as they await the verdict of the appeal committee.
Magaji while addressing his supporters averred that he will remain an obedient card-carrying member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
He gave the hint during a grand reception organized by his supporters from Karu, Keffi, Kokona, Nasarawa, and Toto, the five local governments in Nasarawa West senatorial district marking his safe return from the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Bar Labaran Magaji urged his supporters to be steadfast with the unfolding of the outcome of the primary election held at the convocation square of the Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), describing the exercise as a fruitful process.
He affirmed that the primaries for Nasarawa West senatorial district which held recently were married by irregularities ranging from doctored of the list of 125 delegates from Nasarawa and Keffi local governments respectively.
He revealed that he discovered a list of 75 delegates from Nasarawa and 50 from Keffi two days after the conduct of the party primaries as well as the viral audio of a respected paramount ruler giving a directive to the party Chairman of Keffi local government as evidence to challenge the outcome of the process.
Adding that he will use diplomacy to reclaim what belongs to him by approaching a court of competent jurisdiction.
Magaji appreciates the appeal committee for restoring the hope of the people that came out en masse to vote in his favor.
“I’m not relying on any God-father for this struggle but God and my people who defied the rain , and sun to stand firm for me , the path we are following is the right path, he added
Appreciating delegates that were humiliated in their hotel rooms at Minki Suite, Keffi, by the multitude of delegates, especially those that were not given the chance to vote for me.
He lauded the appeal committee for the two recommendations which urged the national working committee to take urgent steps to identify the 125 fake delegates.
“The appeal committee further requested that Bar Labaran Magaji, should be given the mandate or should repeat the process, but due to time constraints be given the mandate”.
Saying he would not dump the ruling All Progressives Congress, in addition, opined that nobody will foist him to leave especially those that met him in the party.
