I  Will Serve With Integrity, Fairness, Humility And Dedication As The Aren Eggon—-Aren Eggon

The revered royal father and retired Justice Ahmed Ubangari Alaku, the Aren Eggon, has assured the Nasarawa State Governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule of his unalloyed loyalty and commitment ⁰ obey the constituted authority.

Saying, he shall strive to justify the trust reposed in him  by serving with integrity, fairness, humility, and dedication, as the Aren Eggon,

“I pledge my unalloyed loyalty, commitment and support to your administration and its laudable programmes aimed at advancing the welfare and development of our people, that I shall continue to work closely with Government at all levels in promoting peace, unity and sustainable development”.

The revered royal father made a solemn pledge to deploy the influence and the authority of his office to foster peace, strengthen social cohesion, and ensure continued stability across Eggon Land. He, however, appreciates the Central Planning Coordination Committee for the success of the programme, as he gave kudos to the co-Chairman of the Committee Rt. Honorable Dr.Danladi Jatau and the Garkuwan Eggon, as well as Alhaji.Isiyaku Abdullahi, the Galadiman Eggon, respectively.

Your Excellency’s recognition and support for the Eggon nation, demonstrated through the various projects he embarked upon, are the reconstruction of Nasarawa Eggon Main market, the construction of township roads in Nasarawa Eggon, the construction of Nasarawa Eggon – Arikya road, as well as the appointment of Sons and Daughters of Eggon into key positions. Our communities are experiencing relative peace.

The traditional ruler appreciated Governor Abdullahi Sule for his outstanding leadership, statesmanship, and unwavering commitment to the development of Nasarawa State.

I will reiterate that at this critical period in our history, the greatest strength of the Eggon nation lies in our unity. Regardless of our political, religious, social, or geographic differences , we must remain united in purpose and vision and work together to ensure that development flourish in an atmosphere of peace ,mutual respect and collective commitment to the common good of our people.

“I therefore stand before you today with profound humility and a deep sense of responsibility as I accept the sacred trust bestowed upon me as the Aren Eggon,a traditional ruler of 1st class. I am greatly honoured by the entire Eggon people, I accept the responsibility with gratitude to Almighty God, fully conscious of the enormous expectation and obligations attached to the revered throne.

“The stool of Aren Eggon, being a symbol of unity, Justice, service, and cultural pride, represents the aspirations of our people and the enduring legacy of our ancestors . As the custodians of our customs and traditions, I pledge to uphold these noble values with fairness,integrity ,wisdom and dedication.

Saying today’s (Saturday)  occasion marks a watershed in the history of Eggon land, it is not merely the installation and presentation of the staff of office to him but the reaffirmation of the cherished heritage, collective identity, and enduring commitment to the values and traditions handed down to us by our forebearers.

The State Governor Engineer Abdullahi Sule in his speech described the traditional institution as the custodian of the people, realizing the importance of traditional rulers in every society.

Adding that the sustenance of peace and tranquility remained the Hallmark of the traditional rulers, he said the majority of monarchs in the State are either lawyers,Public or civil servants.

“The last presentation of staff of office to late Aren Eggon ,Bala Abene Angbazo was in 1981 by the late civilian Governor,Solomon Daupsher Lar in the then Plateau State.

The stool of Aren Eggon embodies the values of Eggon land,and so leaders serves as beacon of a good leadership.

He said he constructed Nasarawa Eggon and named it after Bala Abene Angbazo,build roads linking Nasarawa Eggon to Arugbadu community ,construction of Underpass in Akwanga town,Moved Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital,Akwanga and amongst others.

According to him”,We ungraded some stool of some paramount rulers in the State,Stating that the importance of the traditional institution can never be over emphasized in a given community.
