APGA National Secretary Hails Tinubu For Approving Establishment Of North Central Development Commission

The National Secretary of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Hon. Ibrahim Danjuma Mani has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his commitment towards the growth and development of the north central region through the establishment of the north central development commission (NCDC).

He also applauded the leadership of Prof. Charles Soludo administration for his developmental strides in Anambra state.

Reacting to the establishment of the North Central Developmental commission,mr Ibrahim Danjuma Mani, expressed profound gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his commitment towards the development of the grassroots in the north central region.

The Secretary stated that “through the establishment of the North Central Development Commission, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has ensured equity, fairness and justice in the developmental process of his administration. The bill will ensure accelerated development of the region”

There have been calls on the president to sign the bill establishing the north central commission into law. The law seeks to strengthen the economy and infrastructural development of the geopolitical zone.

It is expected that the President will send a supplementary budget to the National Assembly in order to capture the newly created North – Central Development Commission, NCDC, in the 2025 budget.

The statement hailed President Bola Tinubu for signing the bill creating the North Central Development Commission (NCDC).

President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, had on Tuesday during plenary announced that President Tinubu assented to the North Central Development Commission Bill, 2024.

The bill seeks to strengthen the economy and infrastructural development of the North-central geopolitical zone.

Hon. Umar, who sponsored the bill at the House of Representatives, had recommended Lafia for the siting of the commission’s Headquarters.

APGA National Secretary described the president’s assent to the bill as a welcome development in view of the expected strategic role in developing the region in particular and Nigeria in general.
