APC Counsel Prays Election Petition Tribunal To Dismiss PDP Petition With Substantial Cost Against The Petitioner

Counsel to the ruling All Progressives Congress,Senior Advocate of Nigeria Hassan Liman (SAN) has prayed before the Nasarawa State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal to dismiss the petitioners petition with substantial cost against the petitioner,Hon.David Ombugadu of the People’s Democratic Party
Liman in his submission says the petitioners petition was just a figment of imagination lacking substance.
Saying the petitioner, who is the Governorship candidate of the PDP, David Ombugadu did not proved beyond reasonable doubt rather standing on a mere allegations of election malpractice.
SAN maintained that the 327,229,000 votes polled by A.A.Sule of the ruling All Progressives Congress is lawfully acquired during the 2019 Governorship election.
“All Progressives Congress Engr.Abdullahi Alhaji.Sule polled 327,229,000 votes as People’s Democratic Party, David Ombugadu polled 184,284,000 votes”.
The led Counsel to the Independent National Electoral Commission,Wale Tayo says the petition filed by the People’s Democratic Party candidate does not hold water.
Counsel to Nasarawa State Governor,Wole Olanipekum described the petition filed by David Ombugadu as a confusion galore quoting paragraph 4:3:7 and 4:3:8 of the petition.
Sule’s Counsel also prayed that the Election Petition Tribunal dismiss the petition filed by the PDP Governorship candidate, David Ombugadu.
Ola Olanipekum SAN addressing Journalists shortly after the adjournment said the 2019 Governorship election in Nasarawa State did not complied to the requirements of the nation’s constitution.
“We are holding both the electoral umpire and the APC for non-accreditation of voters at Aso and Kodape all in Karu Local Government of the State.
Adding that no election hold and praying the Tribunal to grant the petitioner the relief to ordered for a fresh election.
The Chairman of the EPT,Chibuke Nwokekwu SAN adjourned the final written address to undisclosed date which would be communicated to all the Counsels.
