The Executive Secretary of the Nasarawa State Emergency Agency, Barrister Benjamin Akwash, said the recent flood disaster affected 11 communities in Doma, Nasarawa, and Toto local government areas of the state.
The communities affected by the flooding are: Ole Go Gah, Olegogkpa, Akpanaja, Akyema, Ijiwo, Otalega, Otagede, Ochepe, Obendo and Rukubi.
Barrister Akwash said the topography of the areas affected the transportation of the relief materials.
“We are going to use a Hilux with a lever that will pass through the deadly and unmotorable route and by tomorrow will deliver the relief materials to the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs),” he said.
