Adhere To Financial Regulations and Public Procurement Act-Gov Al-Makura Tells Permanent Secretaries

Al-Makura warned the permanent secretaries to ensure budgetary discipline and prudence in the management of public resources, He also charged them to quickly settle down to work and cultivate good working relationship with your political heads for the good of all.

“your appointment is in continuation of our concerted efforts to put in place the formidable team of technocrats, bureaucrat and professionals who share in our vision to take Nasarawa state to greater heights, It is heart-warming to note that this occasion is greeted with array of relations, friends and well-wishers of our new appointees”.

Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura however urged the appointees to imbibe the philosophy of change that is the cardinal principle of the APC Administration, Urging them to key into the principles of accountability, financial discipline, transparency and due process in carrying out Government business.

“Your presence at this occasion is, no doubt, a demonstration of your continued support and solidarity not only to the appointees, but also to the efforts of this Administration in its determination to turn around the fortunes of the State”.

The appointment of permanent secretaries, According to Al-Makura was part of the resolve to reposition the civil service as the nerve centre of Government activities for enhanced productivity, realizing the strategic role this echelon of the civil service plays in the implementation of Government policies and programmes.

This acknowledgement of our modest efforts will no doubt spur us towards attaining the lofty goods which this Administration has encapsulated for the progress and development of Nasarawa State.

“It is for this reason that Government has remained committed in the assemblage of the right calibre of people with the desired attitude, experience, focus, drive, patriotism and loyalty.  Accordingly, Government was meticulous in the choice of the new Special Advisers”.

Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura called on the new appointees to make valuable contributions that would improve the standard of living of the good people of Nasarawa State.  “I congratulate you our new Special Advisers on your well deserved appointment”.

Commitment, dedication, competence, hard work, sacrifice and, above all, loyalty to Government.  It is my belief that, given your antecedents and pedigree, you will exert more energy and justify the confidence reposed in you.
