ADC Rejects Imposition Of Candidate Of APC By Council Of Ulammah Plateau Chapter

The Plateau State Chapter of the African Democratic Congress, (ADC) Chairman H.E. Hon Sabiu Ibrahim has said ,they will never entertain politics of imposition of an All Progressive Congress ,APC (Alh Haruna Maitala) as the sole candidate for the Hausa /Fulani Community of Jos North ,Bassa Federal Constituency  on forthcoming election scheduled for 23rd February, 2019 which  their own Candidate Hon Abdulmajid Sani Lawal Waziri a popular politician is carpeted.

Ibrahim in an interview with our correspondent at the party secretariat, on Monday ,stressed that Engr. Abdulmajid Waziri still remain their voice no matter the level of intimidation and harassment by the council of Ulammah for them to change their mandate.

He debunked allegations been peddle by some session of the society that there was arrangement that Abdulmajid has agreed to step down to Alh Haruna Maitala which the party refuted as not true .

According to him ,from the state chapter of ADC ,the party haven’t receive any bribe to replace the Party candidate with that of the APC ,the council of Ulammah earlier issued out statement of endorsement of Alh Haruna Maitala as a total rejection imbed in the constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria.

“You would recalled, the Jos Muslim Unity Conference held at the Jos Central Mosque warned its members against endorsement of any candidate of a particular party ,now the faction group under aegis Ulammah impose unpopular candidate of APC to the entire people of Jos is unacceptable and that can’t work”, he explained.

We call on Plateau voters not to be misled by the council of Ulammah, unwarranted endorsement of some candidates but to inform every eligible voter to vote for Abdulmajid Waziri for the Jos North, Bassa Federal constituency in the Saturday election.

ADC boss advised the council of Ulammah and other faith base organizations to stay clear of active politics of insisting electorates against some qualify candidates ,we want to stop engaging themselves in partisans of imposition of candidate on faith base campaign of calumnies in Nigeria especially Plateau state chapter.

He further stated that the endorsement is consider as kangaroo exercise owning to their selfish plan to go about collecting money from politician deceiving them they are going to deliver ,even though some of the candidates are not accepted to all .

Adding, some of the APC stalwarts claim that they’ve paid the sum of 15 million naira to the ADC candidate for him to stepdown which is absolutely not true and just a deformation of character on our leader including the candidate for Representative.

The leader most respect Chairman ,HE Sabiu is a man of integrity who is incorruptible and has refused to compromise his stand to receiving bribe even when politician come knocking with money to buy his conscience .

The state secretary of ADC, Mr Abba Kabiru Rabiu vowed that they are not going to betray their loyal supporters but warned that the carry litigation against any candidates who accept bribe to sell his seat.

They blast Shelk Yahaya Jingre for inviting candidates to his office and telling them point blank that they all know that Alh Haruna Maitala is from jingre and his brother so other candidates should drop their ambition and leave his place.

We challenge him to stop using Islam as his business empire to commit the political crime but he should remain as an elder who can advise them.

It was also gathered that a candidate for Senatorial seat whose Ulammah claim to have endorsed is following heads of worshippers to be dashing them money in the night.
