A philanthropist, Alh Abubakar Kabiru Garba Mai Akwala has trained at least no fewer than 550 on skill acquisitions and empowering them with vocational training to reduce poverty and over dependent.
Alh Garba in an interview with our correspondent at the venue in Jos North Local Government Area , LGA ,said the empowerment and vocational training acquisitions is a continue exercise aimed at encouraging women and youths to be responsible citizens.
He said the skills acquisitions and empowering women and youths was borne out of his desire to ensure that the issue of insecurity ravaging the country is address through training and retraining of youth to be useful to themselves.
Garba charged the beneficiaries of his goodwill to pay attention and receive knowledge that will make them responsible members of their community so as to train their children to become ambassador of the state.
He decried the high rate of unemployment, kidnapping and drug addiction as the major cause of crime in the country by calling on federal and state government to create centre for vocational schools in all the geopolitical districts of the state.
Abubakar Kabiru lamented that the absence of skills acquisition center is one of the biggest problem facing the country gross domestic products, GDP ,as he challenging those occupying government offices to do the needful .
The foundation has also embark on training on women to acquire various skills ranging from tailoring, weaving, sawing, pomade, shoes making, hair dressing, fashion designer clothes and cooking and dying .
