43 Voters Registration Centers Ready In Jigawa-INEC

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in Jigawa state has said that 43 registration centers are ready for continuous voters registration exercise in the state.

According to INEC, it said has established one registration Centre in each of the local government headquarters in Jigawa state as it added that this is to enable many people to register.

This was disclosed by the INEC’s Head of Department of Voters Education and Publicity Officer Mr. John Kaiwa in an interview with our reporter in Dutse, Mr. Kaiwa added that initially the commission has only 27 centers across the state but recently the commission has decided to increase it with six more additional centers.

Explaining further he said the state is now having 43 registration centers as he appealed to the general public to come out in mass and engaged in the voter registration exercise which is currently going on.

He assured that INEC officials are now available at the located centers across the 27 local government areas to assist those who have not registered, even as he said the registration exercise will close 3 months before the election.

The head of the department also sought the help of media in disseminating their report and information to the general public in order to create more awareness.
