Speaking the former Speaker Plateau State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Gorge Daika blasted the All Progressive Congress, (APC) over the alleged accusations of a missing fund meant for electioneering campaign by the last regime as an unfounded rumour tailored towards blackmailing the opposition party in Plateau state.

He said the quizzing of the former Water Resources Minister, Mrs. Sarah Ochekpe and two others for what they got which is entirely different, I am not equally not quite happy with what the present government is doing. The government is actually not pursuing corruption, but what they are doing is pursuing PDP who they perceived is the opposition to the government, to be candid all those that stolen money, they are still living in the government right now and they are being protected by this administration.

He said the government is trying to stop cases against his officials which is quite wrong which is an indication that the fight against corruption is one-sided. As far as I am the concern, they are not fighting corruption, but rather promoting corruption and witch hunting of strong opposition members because most of those of officials that surrounds  Mr. President are all corrupt people.

See the brief chat with our correspondent below:

Today EFCC officials are here to arraign some PDP stakeholders, who are they going to arraign for alleged corruption?

The former minister for Water Resources, the former campaign Director of President Goodluck Jonathan and then the Ag PDP Chairman of the party. You can see clearly that all those funds that were given were actually meant for certain purposes and were disbursed directly for the purpose it was meant for. Like I said, these funds were not gotten from the federal government purse, these funds were funds sourced from personal donations by from corporate organizations.

What is your call to the people now that the issues have been made public?

I know that we have confidence in the judiciary because they know what is happening in Nigeria , they see how the judiciary was almost bastardize by this present administration without giving them their due respect. I believe in the rule of law, I am so very confident that the judiciary will come with the verdict that Nigerians will be happier with.

What are your expectations as 2019 draws nearer especially as INEC has made the election timetable public?

I think I have said it severally in an interview, I have granted, what I am expecting in the 2019 general elections is that God willing there will be a clean sweep. The broom they used to sweep the same broom will be used to sweep them out of offices.

I am so confident that come 2019 PDP will take over government at all levels in Nigeria, we just sent signal to them that should start parking because we just have some few months to go, Plateau state has never been an opposition state, actually is just out of child of circumstances that people were given an opportunity and they could not make use of that opportunity for the betterment of the people. In fact, we are well prepared and repositioned come 2019, when I say the government,  I mean the APC led federal government.
