A chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Bauchi state Hon. Ubati Mohammed has declared that APC in the state is battle ready to take power from the incumbent Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Ubati Mohammed made this known to our Correspondent on Tuesday in Bauchi, while responding to the silence and absence of visible political activities of the party in the state.
He noted that the party has been carrying out deep grassroots mobilization pending the inauguration of the state APC campaign council.
He also denied the same stories that claim Air Marshall Sadiq Abubakar, the APC governorship candidate has not withdrawn from the state guber race.
According to him, ” A General worth his salt can never run away from any battle, and Abubakar Sadiq is one of the Generals that can never run away from such battles, especially the political type”.
“The Air Marshall was invited by the Bauchi People to come and serve them as their governor, a call he willingly answered, and we carry out their mandate come 2023”.
On whether APC will merge with other political parties in the state to take power from the ruling Peoples Democratic party PDP in the state, the APC top shot said ” APC is strong enough to take power from the ruling party, but will welcome other parties that may wish to join forces with it”.
The APC in Bauchi state is expected to have its campaign office up within two weeks from today, thereafter, we will go out on a campaign to units, wards, and local governments across the state”.
