White Paper Is Ready For Implementation Education Commissioner

The Nasarawa State Commissioner of Education, Ahmed Tijjani Aliyu  has said that the white paper of the three committees set up by the  State governor, Umaru  Tanko Al-Makura to look into the activities of the College of Education, Akwanga, College of Agriculture, Lafia by  and Nasarawa State Polytechnic, Lafia is ready for implementation.

The Commissioner disclosed this during an exclusive interview with selected Journalists at his office. Tijjani Tailor maintained that the State Executive Council approved the release of the white paper.

He however said the State government has taken a stringent measure to ensure the implementation of the approved for recommendations by the three committees.

He said the State is now set to constitute Governing Councils of the Three tertiary Institutions.

It would be recalled that the State government barely months ago set up an Investigative panel to look into activities of the Nasarawa State Polytechnic, Lafia from 2014-2017.

While a fact finding committee was set up for the College of Education, Akwanga and the College of Agriculture, Lafia .

He gave the assurance that the recommendation of the committees would be implemented to the fullest.

The Chairman of the Investigative Panel of the Nasarawa State Polytechnic Lafia as she urged the State government not to hesitate to implement the report.

Fati Sabo gave a damned verdict of the high leveled of corruption committed under the watchful eyes  of the then Rector, Dr. Silas Gyar.
