The scribe of the Nasarawa State Universal Basic Education Board, Hajiya Hashiya has said Kokona Local Government was amongst the Local Government that benefited immensely from the projects of the State Governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule.

She gave the hint during an exclusive interview with a selected Journalist at her abode, The Secretary reeled out some of the achievements of the present administration including the construction of the Garaku-Gurku-Dari Road as well the grading of Mararaban Angoro-Arusu-Amba-Bassa road, electrification of some communities.

“That road alone is a remarkable achievement while considering the population of farmers across thirty communities, The presence of Governor Abdullahi Sule is everywhere, she added.

According to her,” Stakeholders in Kokona Local Government were given key appointments, especially the recent emergence of Hon.Danladi Jatau as the Speaker of the NSHA.

our schools are wearing new facelifts, we once produce a State Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress, we have SSA’s to the Governor, Permanent Secretary”.

The Secretary however said the Local Government is enjoying relative peace for the past four and half years of Governor Sule.

She called on the Christian faithful in the locality to shun anything capable of thwarting their faith during the celebration of Christmas and New Year.

Urging them to see this period of Christmas and subsequently New Year as a moment for sober reflection but not a period for fun, picnics and other social vices that are anti-people.

“The Governor also announced that a neighborhood market construction will soon commence in earnest in Kokona Local Government” She added.

In a related development, the executive Chairman of Kokona Local Government, Honorable Awwalu Adamu shared already-made clothes, cash, rice, and meat with the Christian faithful.

He said the gesture was meant to carry the people along, It could be recalled that the Chairman has exhibited the same during the Sallah celebration.

The Chairman also appealed to the youth to eschew violence and anything that may jeopardize the existing peace experienced in Kokona Local Government.

Hon.Adamu urged the youth to leave peacefully at all times as brothers and sisters, He called on the youth to shun politics of tribalism and religion as well.

He however called on the people of Kokona Local Government to accord support to the present APC-led administration under the headship of Governor Abdullahi Sule.
