We Condemn The Abduction of Journalists/Iteskiri Youths By Ijaw Militants-Warri Restoration Movement

The group Warri Restoration Movement, has condemned the abduction of Journalists and Itsekiri Youths by Ijaw Militants, according to a statement signed by Comrade Abugewa Okotie,  Director of Communication and Strategy of the movement said; “We condemned in its entirety the recent abductions of journalists and Itsekiri youths on their way to warri from ogidigben where they went to cover the press briefing/protest as a result of the call off of the $16 billion export processing zone (EPZ) commisioning by the president.”
According to the movement in its statement, it stated ; “They were ambushed and abducted by heavily armed Ijaw militants led by Government Ekpemupolo aka Tompolo in more than ten speed boats to Oporaza seizing all their belongings,  including photo and video cameras,phones and wristwatches.they were also framed by placing guns on them.”

The group also said it calls for the immediate investigation, arrest and prosecution of the perpetrators of this dastardly act by the government, as it also that violence is not for the exclusive preserve of any man or group as we will retaliate if justice is not seen to be done.
