The Nasarawa State Government notes with appreciation that Nasarawa remains the only State in the North Central not included in the latest United Kingdom Travel advisory.
The advisory which is “still current as at 21st August 2026” on the UK Government website issued through the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) advises only essential travels to all the States in the North Central except Nasarawa state.
This was contained in a statement made available to Journalists by the Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Addra.
While we desire that such advisory in Nigeria becomes unnecessary sooner than later; the Government receives this development with humility and gratitude to Almighty God.
We recognise it as an encouraging reflection of the collective efforts to promote peace and security in our State.
We are grateful for the unwavering support of the Federal Government under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR in particular, the sacrifices of our security agencies as well as the commendable efforts of other State Governors in addressing the nation’s security challenges.
In Nasarawa, this positive outcome is also a reflection of the deliberate measures taken by the administration of Governor Abdullahi Sule to strengthen security, support security agencies and foster closer collaboration with communities and other stakeholders.
Nasarawa State Government however, remains conscious that much more needs to be done and will continue to work tirelessly to sustain and improve the prevailing peace and security in the State.
Engineer Abdullahi Sule therefore continue to appeal to our citizens to remain vigilant and sustain support to security agencies by providing timely and credible information.
