The Transition Committee Chairman of Owerri Municipal Council Headquarters,Imo State,Hon.Chukwuemeka Ebere,aka ABJ,in his Owerri office,on Tuesday,June 25th 2019,told newsmen that he is very passionate,poised,set and ready work with Gov.Emeka Ihedioha,of Imo State in his leadership bid to rebuild Imo State.
Hon.ABJ,who interacted with pressmen in a swift interview expressively assured that he is going to improve the standard of living of the people of Owerri Municipal as the TC Chairman of the council.
In line with the Rebuild Imo Mantra of Gov.Ihedioha,I will ensure that all his leadership policy and agendas are implemented.
“Owerri my own people should be patience with our Rebuild Mission Government. I have assured good governance,effective security of lives,properties of Ndi-Owerri. I am using this singular opportunity to thank God Almighty for my appointment as the TC Chairman”,ABJ reiterated.
He said “I am also using the same opportunity to thank and commend the Imo Governor,Chief Emeka Ihedioha,for making me the Chairman of the Council in Owerri Municipal. My appointment is well deserved and I must surely deliver and I will not disappoint the people of Owerri.”
The TC Chairman,noted through my office and under my watch,sanity shall be restored in Owerri.
“I am thanking God for using Gov.Ihedioha as a divine blessing to Imolites in general,and the Owerri people in particular”.
Hon.ABJ,as popularly called by his timing political supporters and lovers therefore accused the immediate past government in the municipal of looting virtually everything in the council.
“They enviously and wickedly left with everything in the council,including vehicles,but we don’t want to be distracted,we must rebuild Imo,most especially the municipality. We are working to put Imo on track”,ABJ submitted.
He moreso disclosed that his leadership as the TC Chairman shall work in synergy with ENTRACO and every other organizations towards securing the clean environment as part of upholding the current cleanliness mantra and policy of Gov.Ihedioha on “go clean,stay green”.
On the issue of alleged “returning of Ekeukwu Owerri Market/Douglas Road Commercial business areas,the TC Chairman,said that the marketers will be repositioned and repackaged so as to ensure that they are given an enabling environment to strive.
