We Are A Mining Company With Good Reputation Not Wayward Miners – M.D Timadix

The Managing Director of Timadix Geomin Consult Limited, Engineer Tim Eldons has tackled the Nasarawa State Deputy Governor, Emmanuel Akabe describing the mining firm as company that acquired mining consent through dubious means.

Engineer Tim Eldons gave the hint after few days of granting a press conference to selected Journalists by the Nasarawa State Deputy Governor at his office along Shendam road, Lafia.

The M.D of Timadix insisting that the reputation of his company was mistaken by the Deputy Governor addressing his mining firm, Timadix as fraudsters and forgers of Signatures.

Saying every bit of documents were acquired through due process across all the mining communities, Saying he was giving the consent to carry out mining activities because of his agreement to carry the people along especially his commitment in the area of Community Development Agreement (CDA).

He affirmed that the company is an Independence mining firm that obtained consent from Huri community of Agwada Administrative Area Council of Nasarawa State, A Community the Deputy Governor said does not exist in Kokona Local Government.

The recent visit to the Community was as a result of denial by the Chairman of the committee on Solid minerals in the State, who is also the State Deputy Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Akabe during a Press conference said no Community with such name “Huri exist in Kokona Local Government Area.

The village Head of Huri, Gayya Bako confirmed that he was born in the Community and is the present Head of Huri Mada, an agrarian settlement of Mada extraction of Agwada Administrative.

When asked by the visiting Journalists, he buttresed that he sometimes ago signed a consent letter of Timadix Geomin Consult Limited.

Also speaking, Aminu Honne said the Community was popularly known as Huri Mada, He opined that one Moses Bako, one of those that signed the consent died and the village Head was one of those as well that signed the letter

When asked whether there is State Government presence in Huri, The village Head buttressed that the only Project executed in the Community was a borehole and primary school.

“This the Community i was born, We have a populace of not less than 300 people in Huri Mada”

The Chairman of the committee on Solid minerals affirmed that away from the committee comprises of himself as the Chairman, with Abaga Tọni, The Speaker House of Assembly, Danladi Jatau, Hon. Daniel Ogazi Hon. John Mamman, The former and present Local Government Chairman and other Political appointees are members of the committee.

He gave an example of the flight between mining companies working at same mining sIte at Nasarawa Local Government.

“Nasarawa State with the development in Nasarawa L.G, Our State loses over 16bn to the crisis stricken miners working at same mining site in Just four months”. The Deputy Governor told Pressmen.

“We would also welcome those that knows the real business of mining,I mean those that complied to Community Development Agreement (CDA).
