The member representing Obowo State Constituency in the Imo State House of Assembly, Hon.Barr.Kennedy Ibeh, on last Tuesday,March 17th 2020,during their plenary raised alarm over what he described as under-development and lack of govt.presence in the entire Obowo LGA,since the creation of Imo State.

He said,”even when our own respected selfless leader, Late Dee Sam  Mbakwe, served the State as Governor, he attracted development beyond zoning in the state. Late Dee Mbakwe was a selfless man of multiple integrity who kept indelible legacies in the sound of times. He offered quality leadership that gets to all and sundry in Imo State. He did not focus his infrastructural developmental input for the people of Obowo, rather he touched lives of Imolites in general”, Hon.Ibeh submitted.

The lawmaker, therefore opined that he is calling and appealing to the State Govt.,  the Imo lawmakers and the Governor to as a matter of real facts,to convert the moribund and abandoned Avutu Modern Poultry farm located at Obowo into a Campus of Agriculture/Veterinary Medicine of the Imo State University Owerri,IMSU,in honour of Late Dee Sam Mbakwe.

Moreso, Hon.Ibeh, while speaking to newsmen in Owerri, disclosed that the size of the farm is about 177, 000 hectares of land, which can suit the campus for effective economic boast, job creation,  farm production and practical science studying/learning for the students, academic and non-academic staff of the campus.

On the issue of security of lives and properties of the people of Obowo, the vibrant lawmaker, Ibeh expressed satisfaction that his people are lovely and always passionate to accommodate others, even as he assured proper security of the students, staffers, lecturers of the campus, if converted.
