  • Calls for the arrest of RO, Prof.Otunta for alleged $3million bribe
  • What we saw was a game plan-DG

Aftermath of the official announcement of the 2019 Imo Guber election results in favour of the Imo PDP candidate,Hon.Emeka Ihedioha by the INEC Returning Officer,Prof.Francise Otunta, the Director General of Ugwumba Uche Nwosu Campaign Organization,High Chief Chidi Ibeh, has expressively called for the immediate arrest the RO and the Imo INEC REC,Prof.Francise Ezeonu, for alleged bribe of $3 million from the PDP candidate and his cohorts.

The DG for the Imo AA Guber Candidate,Uche Nwosu, while speaking to newsman on Thursday,March 14th 2019 in Owerri, described the pronouncement of the PDP candidate as the winner of the polls was unacceptable and have been rejected.

He therefore accused the Returning Officer and the Imo INEC of being biased by collecting the sum of $3 million from the candidate of PDP and his supporters, who according to him (Chief Ibeh) did not make up to 2/3rd of the 25% spread from the 27 LGA’s of the Imo State.

The DG however fingered the security agencies and the INEC adhoc staff of working against his principal,Chief Nwosu, who is the Imo AA candidate.

“We earlier expected the election to be declared inconclusive but we are surprised that the RO ignored the electoral constitution of obtaining about 2/3rd,which our candidate got from the 18 LGA’s of the 27 LGA’s. PDP did not make up to 2/3rd. Otunta and Ezeonu should be arrested and brought to book. The sum of (three) 3 million dollars was given to them. We must not allow criminals to continue to reign by destroying Imo State. There were over-voting from three LGA’s in Mbaise nation. Uche Nwosu made up to 21 LGA’s were he won overwhelmingly. We have in totality rejected the election outcome that purportedly brought Hon.Ihedioha as Imo Gov.Elect. We have gone to court to legally challenge his false victory by the RO and REC.”,the DG submitted.

He called on Imolites to remain calm especially those lovers and supporters of Uche Nwosu, even as he expressed optimism that their alleged stolen mandate shall be recovered by the law court.
