On Tuesday, January 4th, 2022, the Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma, successfully held a critical stakeholder meeting with the good people of the state.
Then, as part of his efforts towards supporting the growth of the Shared Prosperity Government, the Imo NURTW State Chairman, Hon. Comrade Samuel Udeh, aka Ezeumuokobia, has expressively commended Governor Uzodinma for holding a successful Imo Stakeholders Meeting amidst confidence, boldness, and mass recommendations from cross-sections of Imolites who were in attendance.
The summit that took place at Sam Mbakwe Expanded Exco Chamber (Govt. House Owerri) attracted so many notable and prominent sons and daughters (Imo dignitaries) from across the 27 LGA’s.
Note that the meeting was the Sixth (6th) Edition of the Meeting since the inception of the Govt. of the day.
Speaking to newsmen, the Imo NURTW State Chairman, Udeh, in a swift media chats with newsmen, commended the Governor for recording huge success in governance.
According to Udeh, “As you can see, the whole exercise ended amidst some policy statements, applause, and commendations by the people of the state. It is also on record that the 3R’s Mantra of the Governor is effectively working. Governor Uzodinma has done well in less than two years in office as Imo Governor. Therefore, he must be extolled”.
Meanwhile, the Imo Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, has on different occasions expressed confidence in leaving behind lasting legacies, even as he reeled out some of his achievements and made some of his challenges known to the people of Imo State.
Earlier, Imolites were expecting the Governor to unveil names of those allegedly sponsoring the insecurity in the state which he said will be made known to the public but declined to pronounce but hinted that the security agencies in the state will in no distant time do their jobs.
Recalled that the Gov.Uzodinma boasted that he is going to announce the nomenclatures of all those instigating crises and mayhem in the state during one of his broadcasts last December.
Great to see amongst some respected Imo Stakeholders includes: The Former Imo Governor, Chief Dr.Ikedi Ohakim, an elder statesman, in the State, Chief Engr.Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, Sen.Frank Ibezim, representing Imo North (Okigwe Zone) , Sen.Osita Izunaso, Hon.Princesss Mariam Onuoha, Reps.Okigwe North and others are too many to mention.
Some professional bodies like the NUJ, NMA, Civil Society Organizations, NGO’s, and others were present. The Traditional Rulers, Religious Leaders, and youths Organizations weren’t left out.
As well as all the Imo Govt. appointees, heads of security agencies, and lots more were in attendance.
In his welcome remarks, the Chairman of the occasion, Chief Leo Stan Ekeh, expressed satisfaction concerning the large turnout of Imo people from across political parties who honoured the invitation by the Governor, even as he encouraged Sen.Hope to lead the state aright, added that he will always support the govt. in the area of Public-Private Partnership, PPP, but appealed to Imolites to rally round for the government of the day.
