Two Minors Who Detonated A Bomb In Yola, Arrested

Two minors today in Kofare community along Numan road, Jimeta the administrative base of Adamawa state detonated an explosive believe to be a bomb.

The little Boys aged 9 and 11 were said to have been sent the errand of detonating the bomb by an unknown person in Wure Jebbe who gave them N2500 to accomplish the ugly assignment.

The explosive exploded after the Boys refused obey the instruction of their sender and decided to sale the IED which they believed is a used and dumped aluminium to a dealer of refused dumps known as “Baban Bula” who turned down their request because the property don’t  have the quantity of Kilos of the product that he wanted.

After failing in reaching agreement by the buyer, they however walked away by few metres and the bomb exploded injuring three people and no live was lost.

The effect of the bomb blast extended to the office of Federal Road Safety Corp and caused a swift response from them that later resulted in the arrest of the two boys.

Our correspondent who visited the scene of the act met eye witnesses who narrated the ugly story to him and said ” the two bombers are little boys I saw when they took the explosives to one Baba that buys scraps of irons and aluminium and the Baba said he is not going to buy because it’s not in big quantity kilos of what he wants”.

Another eye witness who simply identify himself as Bala commented said; “I was standing here in this Fuel filling station when those boys left the Baba shop but just as they got to the road ,there was an explosion two of them was injured and they started running ” the eye witness  who works as a fuel attendants  in the filling station,” Bala said.

Confirming the report, the Adamawa State Road Safety Corp Commander, Mr Luka Ikpi said “when I heard the noise I rushed out but I was told it was tyre that got bursted, but the sound I had is not that of tyre so I asked my officer in charge of intelligence to find out, It was when he came back that he confirmed my fears, and told me that two little boys have been apprehended, I then arrested them and handed them over to the police”

Before leaving the scene men of the Nigerian police raided the area, made some arrest and used their bomb detectors machine to ascertain the nature of the bomb but failed to commend as the PPRO is said to have gone to Abuja for official assignment.
