Tragedy On Sallah Day As Seven Persons Were Roasted To Death In Bauchi Road Accident

On a day muslims worldwide are celebrating end of their Ramadan fast, no fewer than seven of them were today roasted to death with five others critically wounded in a  road accident involving three commercial vehicles at Durum village in Bauchi state.

iReports-ng.com gathered that the accident occured at about 12.50pm local time when a Vectra Opel car with registration number  AE 609 NNG developed a locked wheel problem at the middle of the road and in the process of repairing of it, a Sharon station wagon car rammed into it and went up in flames.
It was further learnt that another Vectra Opel car driving directly behind the Sharon station wagon rammed into the two cars already in flames and equally went up in flames. Bauchi State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Henry Olatunji, who confirmed the incident said  12  men  were involved in the accident, adding that seven of them lost their lives while five sustained various degrees of injuries.
He said his officials moved to the scene soon after, evacuated all the corpses and the wounded to the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital,(ATBUTH), Bauchi
