Wise men said the evil that men do leaves after them, this adage explained the unfolding in the political space of Nasarawa state between the first executive governor of Nasarawa state, senator Abdullahi Adamu and the incumbent governor, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura over the endorsement of Engr. A. A Sule as the governorship candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress.

The endorsement by the Chief executive has spit fire in the state, this a replication of what happened during the reign of the first executive governor of Nasarawa state, senator Abdullahi Adamu when he handpicked his successor, Alhaji Aliyu Akwe Doma who defected from the All People’s Party not more than five months and was yet to be given the membership of his new platform, the People’s Democratic Party.

The endorsement of late governor Aliyu Akwe Doma,it could be recalled by the Chief executive of the state was resisted by both governorship aspirants of the ruling party, the People’s Democratic Party and other party stalwarts seriously protested the unilateral decision taken without consulting either the party executive in the state or other critical think-tank of the party.

What is happening currently should not be a new thing to the people of Nasarawa state as party supporters in 2007runs helter skelter disrupting the aborted governorship aspirants at the hall of the Nasarawa State University Keffi,a governorship primaries that was adjusted for weeks.

Labaran Maku, from Nasarawa Eggon, Nasarawa North senatorial district and now a governorship candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance was amongst the contestants that resisted the endorsement, others are Bar. Solomon Ewuga, former Minister Of The Federal Republic of Nigeria and the immediate past senator representing Nasarawa North senatorial district kicked against the position of the state governor.

Barrister Musa Hussaini who held from Giza in Keana Local Government was amongst the contestants that were outsmart by Abdullahi Adamu in 2006 Governorship primaries that produced Doma as the party candidate for in 2007 governorship election.

Other protesters are late senator. Emmanuel Okudu Okpede from Doma Local Government and erstwhile senator representing Nasarawa South under the umbrella of The People’s Democratic Party and amongst others, the then governor did all he could to make the aggrieved party loyalist remain in the party

Today the same Adamu who was allowed to enjoyed all the privileges in the state as an ex-governor moves freely in the sands of Nasarawa even with the ongoing investigation by the anti graft agency, the Economic And Financial Crime Commission is challenging the sitting governor for replicating his leadership style, this did not go down well with the former governor,Abdullahi Adamu.

The recent committee set up by the Chief executive, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura to to review the concessioning agreements of all NASARAWA STATE Government owned Hotels and other related facilities was not meant to exposed senator Adamu but was constituted with good intention to review the Zimbabwean farmers deal which is costing Nasarawa State Government The Sun of N7bn.

Pundit from the seat of Power said Adamu signed a N2bn deal with Zimbabwean farmers and the money involved raised up to N3bn with interest, universalreportersng.com can authoritatively confirmed that the N3bn has again raised up to a whooping N7bn, which was thrice the amount collected.

A competent source from the Shendam road Government House said critical stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress in Nasarawa state are working round the clock to retire him from politics “Turakin Keffi “.

Onlookers continued to ponder why the committee to investigate Adamu was set up now, why not since as he was also accused of over inflating the contract of Karu International Market, Abuja including a bank loan he collected to finance the project which was used as a conduit pipe to drain the state of “tax-payers money”.

Is Adamu trying to play the role of a sitting governor by dictating what to do as he played in the past? Is not possible as the mantle of leadership exchange hands said a think-tank of the Al-Makura’s administration.

Is no longer news that Adamu would again test the bitter pills of politics as he was humiliated by late governor Aliyu Akwe Doma, a fight over who controls the state leadership of the party, Adamu was defeated by the sitting governor during an election that produce Yunana Iliya, Adamu Oyanki as the party Secretary while the candidate of Senator Abdullahi Adamu, Retired Captain Ibrahim Aboki, younger brother to Gen. Aboki and other of his foot soldiers suffers serious defeat at Makurdi.

An APC chieftain from Nasarawa West senatorial district described Adamu as a bench warmer, saying he should go and rest and allow new crop of politicians to take over the baton of leadership

An aide to governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura while responding to the ongoing rumors of endorsing Engr.A.A Sule as the candidate of the ruling party in the state affirmed that the governor did what he did in a good fate.

He added that he did that to save the situation from generating to a serious political crisis, he said Al-Makura kick against the decision of Abdullahi Adamu to handpicked the current Member Federal House of Representatives representing Toto/Nasarawa Federal Constituency, Arch. Jafaru Mohammed Ibrahim from Nasarawa West senatorial district without minding the political plight of the people of Nasarawa North senatorial zone who are yet to test the exalted office.

This supremacy Of Power if care is not taken may consumed critical stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress in the state, only time shall tell.
