The chairman of the Transmission Company of Nigeria, TCN, Alhaji Usman Guru Muhammed has commended the Jigawa State government for the construction of access road to the newly allocated land for the establishment of a power substation at Gagarawa Local Government Area.
He said that the construction of the road will enable them to move their equipment to the site, as he assured that the project will be completed in two months as he requested the state government to send their representatives that will work with the company.
Speaking further he said that the 330 Kva will be provided for Dutse the state capital while Ringim emirate will soon be connected to the 33 Kva from Jogana in Kano state.
While responding the Jigawa State Governor Mohammed Badaru Abubakar said he is working tirelessly to ensure the existence of Gagarawa Substation.
The Governor stated that when the substation when completed will solve the problem of power supply, as he said that the state government will provide all the necessary logistics needed by the organization to work effectively and deliver in time.
He said that Gagarawa Substation when it becomes operational will take care of Ringim and Gumel emirates respectively.
Governor Badaru thanked the management of the company for their kind support and cooperation he gave to Jigawa state government to actualize this dream.
