The Imo State governor, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, CON, KSC on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 swore-in and inaugurated the Commissioner nominees that were screened and approved by the State House of Assembly.

 

In the course of his address at the occasion which was held at the Ahiajoku Centre, Owerri, the governor announced the names and portfolios of the new Commissioners as follows:

 

  1. Ministry of Justice: Ndukwe Nnawuchi         (Owerri Municipal)

 

  1. Ministry of Finance: Prof. Uche Uwaleke       (Ihitte Uboma)

 

  1. Ministry of Commerce, Industry & Entrepreneurship: Mr. John. Ekezie Okeahialam (Ezinihitte Mbaise)

 

  1. Ministry of Agriculture & Natural Resources: Chief Emma Nworgu      (Ngor Okpala)

 

  1. Ministry of Health: Dr.Vin Udokwu (Orlu)

 

  1. Ministry of Public Utilities: Hon. Chuma Nnaji           (Njaba)

 

  1. Ministry of Education: Prof. Mrs. Viola Adaku Onwuliri (Ahiazu)

 

  1. Ministry of Works: Engr. Benjamin Ekwueme            (Orsu)

 

  1. Ministry of Lands, Survey and Physical Planning: Sir. Bon Unachukwu       (Ikeduru)

 

  1. Ministry of Youth & Social Development Umez- Eronini Okechukwu Unaeze

 

  1. Ministry of Environment: Hon. Tony Okere

 

  1. Ministry of Information and Orientation: Barr. Emeka Felix Ebiliekwe

It may be observed that the names and ministries in the above list is in some ways different from the one was published earlier. The 18-Imo Commissioners list here in this report is the authentic lists as announced by Gov. Ihedioha.
