Speaking with Journalists shortly after his last Executive Council Meeting, Lamido thanked his cabinet members, civil servants and the people of Jigawa State for their support and contribution to his government in the last eight years.
He added that his commissioners and all other government functionaries would continue in office until 12 midnight of May 29, 2015.
“We have done our best in discharging our statutory responsibility to our mother state; together we achieved the success recorded in the last eight years,” Lamido said.
The outgoing governor also urged the people to give the necessary support to the incoming state government to enable it work for the betterment of the state.
“Jigawa State government is the government of Jigawa people under whatever political party, if it succeeds, it will be at the advantage of them and if it fails it would be at our own detriment”, he added.
