The Aspirant for the Plateau Senatorial bye election, Hon Te’el Dashe Stephen has appealed to the electorates especially delegates to make the right choice of men of integrity who have pedigree to identify the primary needs of the people and can promote the tenet of democracy.
He disclosed that he joined the race to actualise the yearnings and aspirations of transforming the infrastructural deficit of the agrarian communities in Plateau South.
Stephen in an interview with our correspondent at the Plateau state Chapter of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Jos .
He said, as a leading aspirant in 2019 general polls the then Plateau state government suppressed me to step down for the late Sen Ignatius Longjan so I deemed it necessary to come back with my genus ideas of working towards repositioning the lives of our rural populace were development is yet to reach them.
I belief that what God have for me will come to past ,because I was the leading aspirant until government came with plea bargain that I should step down for a more popular person in person of late Senator Ignatius Longjan ,as they say man plan but God disposes ,he added.
However, the delegates know the best candidate amongst all the aspirants vying for the position of Plateau Southern seat, I have campaign across the six local government councils so we establish close relationship with the grassroots voters.
Stephen reiterated that in the area of projects execution in democracy government is all about continuity were the projects introduce by the late senator, I am going to build on it by adding new one that his attention wasn’t drawn to it.
According to him. the major problem of our rural populace in Langtang South ,Wase LGAs is absence of drinking water which if given the mandate earth dams will be constructed to ease the plight people who can’t access quality supply .
Stephen stressed that the issues of subsistence farming would be replace with mechanics system to improve the challenges of foods security.
