The 33 Brigade Command of the Nigerian Army, Bauchi has confirm that it has killed three suspected kidnappers and rescue three young girls in a gun battle in the forest of Ningi Local Government of Bauchi state.
The Commandant Operation Flush Ningi Major Boyi Uba told newsmen in Bauchi saying that many other suspects escaped with gunshot wounds.
“After we received the intelligence information from our informant around 2 pm yesterday Saturday, we took permission from our Brigade commander then we swung into action.” he said.
Major Uba said no soldier died during the encounter with the gunmen which lasted several hours inside the bush, the suspects escaped with wounds in the forest of Dutshen Dumbura in Ningi Local Government area of the state.
The Items recovered from the suspects were two AK-47 rifles, one pump action many rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition. Also, two motorcycle. Two handsets that were used by the suspects were recovered.”

The Commander Operation Flush Ningi said the hostages were freed from their kidnappers after engaging the kidnappers in a shootout.
According to him, the kidnappers are smart enough that once they hit a community the will change their place of hiding, they don’t normally stay in one place they keep on changing places and they leave in a tick forest, they go to the remote Fulani community and harassed them, abducts a family member then demand for a large ransom.
Major Boyi charged the general public with any vital and intelligence information should please assist the soldiers, that will help in getting the rid of the deadly kidnappers in the area, adding that the army is there for the communities to protect their lives and properties.
