Senatorial Candidate Of LP, Vows To Improve The Well-Being Of Constituents If Elected

The senatorial candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in Plateau  Central, Mr Melchoir Munkilama Gowon alias ( Mai Gashin Baki), has expressed optimism that he would bring about reform and transformation in education, agriculture, health, and empowerment of women and youths to tackle restiveness and poverty if given the mandate.

 He disclosed that if he clinched the seat during the 2023 elections, going by his popularity and acceptability among the electorate of the door to doors interaction he is optimistic of victory.

Gowon made this assurance in an interview with journalists in Plateau State at the Plateau Civil Service Club Amb Fidelis Tapgun road Jos, where he explained that his senatorial ambition is no threat because the family recorded good name in Nigeria.

“I am confident that this time around we are going to defeat the ruling party and the second largest political party in Nigeria; PDP and APC but LP is a party to watch in the 2023 general election, he noted.

The Labour Party candidate assured the people that no doubt that there is no single person in a central zone that will be a threat to me, as a native of Plateau state my plan is to elevate the rate of poverty and insecurity facing the senatorial district through the industrial revolution and fight security, education by bettering the constituent if elected.

“I am very sure they know my capacity, they know how reliable I am when it comes to politics and I’m going to deliver this seat to LP  by God’s Grace. There is no doubt about it; APC or PDP will not be an obstacle to us.”

The senatorial hopeful further explained that for the past 20 years PDP has been visible in Nigerian politics but I have confidence provide dividends of democracy to the people of Plateau central district 

According to him, they are all experienced people in LP from various political parties who decided to come together to see how they could clinch power in order to salvage the country and Nigerians from the leadership incompetence of both PDP and APC in 2023.

He said tackling the challenges of insecurity in Nigeria is not an issue of religion because there is nothing like religious crises so we employ Nigerians to shun politics of religion and sentiment for them to forge ahead.

However, Gowon expressed concern over the plight of insecurity in Nigeria but vows to use gadgets that can help in the monitoring system to enhance their welfare because of food insecurity we have constructed a dam at Dawaki community.

According to Gowon the main priority of the issue of his campaign is industrialization, which can  provide job opportunities to the people through factories to address unemployment,
