Ibrahim Baba AKA Baban Daki has confessed that he raped three under age on the 9th May,2017 at Tudun Abu, an inhabitant of Lafia municipal, he made the confessional statement when the Nasarawa state police command paraded 25 suspects arrested for various crimes at the state Criminal Investigation Department.
Baban Daki said it was the work of the devil and promised to turn a new leaf,he stated this in an interview at the CID on Wednesday.
The state commissioner of police, Sadiq Abubakar decried the increasing rate of raping in the state,he identify the exposure of underage to street hawking as a major contributing factor.
Calling on religious, community leaders and critical stakeholders in the state to sensitized parents and guardians on the dangers of street hawking amongst female wards.
The suspect who made a confessional statement would be charged to court. It would be recalled that news website Universal Reporters” reported the issues last night as parents of underage Wards cried for Justice.
The affected wards are Zainab Bala 7 and half years, Hadiza Musa 7 years and Safiya Nasiru 8 years respectively.
