Security Report On Water Pollution’: FCFN Swings Into Action, Holds Emergency Meeting With Agric Commissioner

Following a security report on the rising spare of water Pollution’ in Nasarawa State, The State Governor Engineer Abdullahi Sule directed the State Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resource to take urgent steps to avert an outbreak of any ailment.

 

The Commissioner of Agriculture and Water Resource, Professor Otaki Allahnana while addressing members of Fisheries Cooperative Federation of Nigeria, Nasarawa State chapter appealed to the leadership of the Association to help in safeguarding body of waters in the State

 

The hinted that the State Governor is poise to boost fish production in the state, adding that all hands must be on deck to bring recalcitrant to book.

 

The state chairman of the Association, Hon.Bashit Mohammed Umar in his speech applauded the state Government for the timely response to get rid of bad eggs in the society.

 

Saying the Association would Accord all necessary support to the State Government especially at this moment that is investing huge amount of money in stocking fish in Doma dam.

 

“As a fish farmer and dealer I relied on Icefish, majority of us have no single fish in our houses due to the effect of water Pollution’, The chairman acknowledges this during the emergency meeting held at the hall of the state ministry of Agriculture and Water Resource.

 

He also warned consumers of fresh fish to be more vigilant by reporting cases of water Pollution’ in all books and cranny of the State.

 

Speakers after speakers explained that they would support the idea by guarding waters within their inhabitants.
